Senior Associate
Nicolas assists in infrastructure, energy and mining projects in Sub Saharan Africa, with a focus on the Democratic Republic of Congo. Nicolas advises public and private clients on strategic and complex matters, including project finance, mergers & acquisitions and concessions.
Over the last years, Nicolas has developed significant expertise in guiding investments from the very first steps to their on-the-ground implementation. Clients appreciate Nicolas’ understanding of their needs and issues and his to-the-point and pragmatic legal advice.
Whilst being based in Brussels, Nicolas regularly travels in the DRC working alongside with our Kinshasa team.
Nicolas holds a law degree from the Université Catholique de Louvain (2015) and a LL.M from the KU Leuven (2016). He has also received a special degree in OHADA law form the Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas and Université Paris 13 (2019) .
Prior to joining Liedekerke, Nicolas has worked 5 years as an associate lawyer in renowned Belgian law firms. He joined Liedekerke in 2021.
