Raymond Ntwali

Raymond is part of the Litigation practice group. His practice focuses on all domestic and cross-border insolvency and restructuring-related matters, including the representation of clients in insolvency proceedings, alongside corporate, banking and finance litigation.
Before joining Liedekerke in 2021, Raymond developed a solid expertise as a Litigation lawyer at a Magic Circle law firm in Luxembourg, where he advised and represented a broad range of clients including multinational groups, banks and financial sector professionals.
Raymond holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Liège (2014) and an LL.M. in European Competition and Intellectual Property Law from the Liege Competition and Innovation Institute - University of Liege (2015). During his studies, he spent a semester at Coventry University (UK) as part of an Erasmus exchange program. He also completed an internship at the Commercial Court of Liege, where he mainly assisted in the drafting of judgments.

Successfully assisted an asset management company incorporated under Luxembourg law in litigation proceedings before the attachment judge with a view to obtain the release of a preliminary attachment levied on real estate property by two private investors for an alleged claim of 17.7 M EUR.
Assisting a creditor with the recovery of its 3.3 M EUR outstanding claim in the bankruptcy proceedings of a retail company.
Assisted and advised different entities of a world-renowned group providing water management, waste management and energy services with the enforcement of their contractual rights against different companies subject to insolvency proceedings.
Assisted and advised a private individual in dealing with the financial difficulties of a renowned football club of which he is a director and indirect shareholder.
Assisted a retail company having offices in Belgium and France on the winding up of its business activities in Belgium and on related issues regarding directors’ duties and liabilities.
