
David Wouters
Associate
David Wouters is part of the European and Competition law practice. His work covers all aspects of EU/Belgian competition law with a particular focus on State aid. He has also experience in litigation, both in national courts and in EU courts.
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, David has assisted governments in setting up and notifying aid measures under the State aid Temporary Framework.
David holds a Master’s degree from the KU Leuven (2019) where he graduated magna cum laude. In addition, he completed an LL.M. in Competition Law and Economics from the Brussels School of Competition, where his thesis on “Sustainability Agreements under Article 101 TFEU” was published in the Journal of European Competition Law & Practice (2021, Vol. 12, No. 3).
Prior to joining Liedekerke, David worked as a trainee at the European Commission (DG COMP) and at a major law firm in Brussels.
He joined Liedekerke in 2021.
