Organising regular events for all members of the firm is pretty much synonymous with the Liedekerke approach 'we work hard but play hard as well'. A number of events such as the Liedekerke Summer Event, the Liedekerke After Summer Event, the Liedekerke Revue, our regular afterwork drinks throughout the year, ‘brain maniac’ breakfasts in the firm, etc… are recurring events that allow us to connect with each other more outside the professional working environment which obviously has a positive impact to the cooperation in the office as well. Soak up the cool atmosphere that is strong at these events by watching some after-event movies.
Liedekerke’s Competition/EU Law & Foreign Investment team provides deep expertise in the full spectrum of competition/EU law and is highly specialised in the Belgian foreign direct investment screening regime.
Our practice offers an unrivalled combination of both significant former in-house antitrust counsel and competition regulator expertise.

In every contemplated transaction, minimising the impact of merger control/FDI review periods on your transactional timeline is of key importance to ensure a smooth and timely path towards closing.

Equally, knowledge and abidance by competition law are crucial to prevent breaches of competition law, which can result in serious consequences for undertakings such as hefty fines and reputational damage.

Nowadays, it is paramount more than ever, to be able to count on a solid legal partner to support and provide guidance to your business in addressing competition law and regulatory challenges.

Our team has the breadth of expertise and knowledge to appreciate clients’ interests and sector-specific issues and to guide them through the most complex matters. We help businesses to navigate the rapidly- evolving competition and foreign investment regulation landscape, respond to challenges and anticipate potential hurdles before they arise.
