Arbitration-related court proceedings
Acting as Lead counsel in Belgium for the Republic of Kazakhstan (the “RoK”) in the prominent multi-jurisdictional dispute relating to the enforcement by the Stati Parties (the “Statis”) of a USD 530 million ECT Arbitral Award obtained in 2013 against the RoK (the “Award”) and successfully assisted the RoK in obtaining a denial of exequatur of the Award in Belgium and a lifting of all attachments there.
