Wim Dedecker is a Partner in the firm’s Corporate & Finance Group and co-heads our Antwerp office.
Wim handles a wide variety of securities and corporate transactions. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. He further counsels issuers and underwriters in connection with public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities. Alongside his transactional practice, Wim advises clients on securities laws, company law and governance questions.
Wim holds a law degree (magna cum laude) from the University of Antwerp (2009) and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of California, Berkeley (USA) (2011) where he was a Fulbright grantee. He also studied at the Université Paris Descartes (2009).
Prior to joining Liedekerke in 2018, Wim worked at the Brussels and New York offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. In 2012 he was seconded to the legal department of BNP Paribas, and he was also a teaching assisting at KU Leuven from 2012 to 2014.
Wim is a member of the Antwerp and Brussels bars and regularly speaks on corporate and security law topics. He also sits on the Fulbright Foreign Student Review Panel (law student category).
