
Roel Fransis
Partner
Roel Fransis is a Partner in the Banking and Finance Practice Group.
He specialises in banking and (international) insolvency law. He advises national and international clients and has extensive experience in litigation in these fields. With our Supreme Court lawyer Simone Nudelholc, he handles Supreme Court litigation in civil law and insolvency law.
He holds a law degree (2005) and a PhD in Law (Contractual subordination of claims in insolvency law, 2013) from the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). He is a researcher at the Institute for Commercial and Insolvency Law of the University of Leuven. He is author of many publications in the field of insolvency law, and is a regular speaker at national and international insolvency law conferences. He is a member of Insol Europe, Insol Europe Academic Forum and the Netherlands Association for Comparative and International Insolvency Law (NACIIL).
He joined Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick in 2005 and became partner in 2014.
