Vincent Verbelen
Associate
Vincent Verbelen is part of the Energy Regulatory team, within our Regulatory Department.
He focuses on (Belgian and EU) energy law, both at federal and regional level.
He is mainly active in the electricity sector (especially renewables) but also intervenes in gas (including industrial gases). He assists major energy stakeholders (for advisory work, litigation or in transactions/project development) on all aspects of energy law. This includes activities like generation (onshore/offshore), transmission, supply, consumption; and matters such as market design, licenses, liabilities, subsidy schemes, PPAs, taxes, tariffs, etc.
Vincent holds a Master of Laws from the University of Antwerp (2019) and an LL.M from the University of Cambridge (2022). He worked for the University of Antwerp as research and teaching assistant (2019-2021). He has published articles on constitutional law, administrative law, and human rights law.
Vincent joined Liedekerke in 2022.
