Imec.istart was launched in 2011 in Belgium as one of Europe’s first startup accelerators. More than ten years later, the organisation is a globally recognised program with a portfolio of over 260 startups and scaleups, including an exhaustive partner and mentor network.
In practice, Imec.istart’s mission is to support tech entrepreneurs when they’re ready to take the plunge. Their 12-18 months’ long acceleration program offers an initial financial injection, professional coaching and mentoring, facilities, and access to a broad network of partners and investors, to prepare digital start-ups for their first sales, growing their teams, and scale internationally.
As a full-service law firm, Liedekerke has been supporting Imec.istart for many years on a pro bono basis, providing key insights and workshops focused amongst others, on the rules and do’s and dont’s to be observed in relation to contracting, setting up a distribution network, negotiation, direct marketing, employees’ incentives, and corporate housekeeping.
