Loïc Timmermans is part of the Employment & Benefits Practice Group.
Loïc is an international lawyer passionated about employment law since his first year of University. Since he started his career at the Brussels Bar, his passion evolved to solving (tricky) problems based on his knowledge of the law and creative thinking.
He provides strategic advice to multinational and domestic companies in sectors such as technology, transport, energy, chemicals, hotels, and public administration. Although his work covers all aspects of employment law, including wage and working time laws, wrongful termination, closure and transfer of undertaking, and collective dismissal, he has specific experience in workplace harassment, discrimination and well-being at work.
Loïc authored a book on burn-out at the workplace and regularly publishes in employment law reviews.
As a former high-level athlete, Loïc is committed to excellence and sees every challenge as a golden opportunity.
He holds a Master Degree in Law from the University of Louvain (UCL 2019) and a complementary Master in labour law from the University of Brussels (ULB 2020).
Loïc joined Liedekerke in 2020.

Assisted several companies, employees and institutions with discrimination and (sexual and psychological) harassment cases;
Assisted a Member of the European Parliament in relation to a complaint for harassment before the Advisory Committee of the European Parliament;
Advised an international company on non-compete and non-solicitation of employees;
Assisted a Belgian Group, specialising in the distribution of vehicles, equipment and machinery worldwide, with the restructuring of the group (including transfer of undertaking and collective dismissal);
Successfully represented a Swedish-Swiss multinational company in a work accident litigation;
Provided strategic advice and assistance to a domestic company with the termination of its chief executive officer (CEO);
Assisted an international company with respect to the implementation of a 24/7 customer service, including stand-by services to be performed by software engineers;
Assisted several international companies with the closure of their Belgian branch;
Assisted a multinational company with the hire of personnel in the Democratic Republic of Congo;
